Body Mount Chop Near Denver

Hi Guys,

Anyone in the Denver metro area have a shop that has done the body mount chop and would recommend them again? I got one quote from a place that I will not name, but the quote was well over $300 which I thought was completely outrageous.

Thanks a bunch!
Joshua

Give All Phase a call.
http://allphaseoffroad.com/index.html

They have done all my custom work and a few other forum members. They also sell skid plates for the FJ and an axe/shovel mount that fits the stock roof rack.

I thought about doing mine too. Did you weld in a new plate to cover the chop or what?

Nope not yet. I had to cut more after adding 35's.

Question Re: Body Mount Chop Near Denver

Hi guys.
Thanks for the details you've shared on this topic thus far.
Two questions...

1. If you had it done locally already, how'd it all work out?

2. Any more info on this yet; other local shops, cost, etc?

I'm thinking I need to do this now, even though it looked unnecessary with my setup before (more details on why my thinking has changed coming soon to a separate thread near you).

Someone on 702fjcrew.net (here's the link to that thread) found a place in their area that does it for $80.
Any chance we have anything like that around here?

steven

Re: Body Mount Chop Near Denver

AllPhase did mine and did nice job, but was too expensive IMO (over $300). They did do the proper clearance, maintained integrity, welded a cover plate and painted, so it looks factory.

I run 255/85R16 (33x10.5) with no issues and they did rub before the chop. I'm pretty sure I could run 35's with the same chop and lift I have now.

I'd check with ORS, they seem more reasonable, but I've never gotten a quote for this particular work or seen their results.

Re: Body Mount Chop Near Denver

Alright.
Thanks, Eric (I'll check with ORS).

Anybody else?
