Re: Sept. 9th Run - Colorado

I might be, did it last weekend. Got lost onto another trail, then made a stupid choice and got stuck in a mud pit right by the lake. It was fun though! I'll watch the thread for any updates.

About how long do you think the trip will be? Just need to get an idea to see if we can make it.
Thanks-

The run takes approx. 2 hrs round trip. This is if you don't stop and walk around and don't stop for lunch.

Hope to see you at Downieville Sunday.

Jackie

No problem - I had seen that post also. We'll meet up another time.

Re: Sept. 9th Run - Colorado

will catch you next time,

when i did it last month we left HR at 8am and were back about 1pm we did eat lunch up there, i would figure 1hr from HR to Empire, about an hour on the trail up (1.5 if you stop for pictures and to take in the view, like we did), 1hr for hiking around the lake and lunch, 40mins back down, trails always go faster the second time once you know the route as Jackie does... but it was our first time.

great trail though, i am anxious to go back, let me know if you find fish in the lake i was wondering about that last time.
