Re: PHX October 19-21

Thanks for the hospitality, everybody. I'll bend to your expertise as far as whether a saturday night or sunday morning run would be better. I'd be happy with just looking at your trucks, so the thought of a run is just icing on the cake.

BTW - Mods, would you be so kind as to move this thread to the AZFJ section? THX

Montana Mountain?
Sunflower Mine?
backway to Crown King (just kidding not easy and only mentioned cuz I still haven't done it)
I am sure there are more but no books with me at the moment
It's been a while since I've been up to Sunflower, but I recall the creek bottom crawl to be more technical than the Crown King back road. Neither is too much for a stock FJC, but between the two, CK backroad can be done with less thinking and Sunflower will touch skids a few times even if you pick a good line. CK is significantly more time committed on dirt...

CK makes for a SPORTY night run.

Sunflower would be a terrible night run because you would miss the views.

Thanks, I appreciate it. My organizational skills are marginal under normal situations, let alone when applied to unknown lands & events.

Maybe Walnut Canyon Trail out by superior. Its supposed to be easy for about 80% of it, and only moderate in a few spots. I've never run it, but from the pictures and descriptions I have seen on it it looks awesome.

Re: PHX October 19-21

You should consider joining us on the 20th for a run to the back side of Crown King. There is a thread going already that you can review for details.

Hope you can join us.
Dave
