Howdy all. Seeing as how I'm in NE AZ and haven't had a chance to meet any of you (or, more importantly, see your FJ's), I'd like to try to take advantage of being in the valley. My wife and I will be there from Oct. 19 sometime in the PM to midday Oct. 21 (Fri-Sun). I was hoping to get an up close & personal look at some of your setups. I can look all day online, but I'd like to start seeing some mods in person. We'll be busy from about noon until four Sat. afternoon, but other than that we can be free. So how about it, anybody feel like showing two newbies the ropes?
Thx,
Erich

Awesome Possum, I remember how it is so Id love to meet another soon to be FJ owner!! Our calendar is clear right now for that weekend, but we will see with all these renters and buyers we have to start taking out this month! I really hope we can make it!! Ours may be one of the basic versions but we still have cool things!!

Yours is one in particular I'd like to see. I know, beggars can't be choosers, but I really like the look of that bumper & would like to see it in person.

I would recommend that we gather at the Pavillions car show in Scottsdale at Indian Bend between Pima and the loop 101.
If we have 20 or more rigs then they will hold space for us, otherwise someone (I would be happy to) can get there around 4-5pm and try to save some space.
That would give the Wizard a chance to look around lots of rigs and we could always do a night run after or a Sunday morning run (Wizard you are ok to try driving my rig on some stuff to get a feel for the mods I have done).
Just my thoughts

That was going to be my suggestion as well . I was just about to reply to this thread when I saw your post come up. I would be that we could get at least 20 to commit to this event. A trail run the next morning maybe??
Since we will probably draw some new Fj's interested in this , whatever trail we decide to run should be an easier one
thanks
Don
Montana Mountain?
Sunflower Mine?
backway to Crown King (just kidding not easy and only mentioned cuz I still haven't done it)
I am sure there are more but no books with me at the moment
