Yes ...she wants it...sorry speedy....I guess I'm the speedy one this time...

Not a problem. I am still contemplating wether to lift it or not after my scouting trip. I came close rolling it but felt I had a degree or two to play with.. So the pucker in my rear told me.

The lift will help articulation and therefore make a roll in the same situation less likely....of course you'll go places that will get you in just as much trouble

You'll typically pucker up all your sphincter muscles LONG before you get ready to lay it over on it's side. Granted, with the head room, the hard top, the roof rack, and the fact that you can put gear up there, the FJC has a little bit more weight aloft than a lot of other designs. However, the thing weighs in at 4500 pounds even before you load it up! Most people have no concept of how much that really is. It's a $#!+load. Most all of that weight is lower down, in between and just above the frame rails. The body and interior parts are very very light compared to the solid engine and transmission components and thick structural elements.

It's a lot like skiing. When you look down a slope from atop the summit cornice, it looks like you're staring down the face of a cliff. When you're riding along going up the gondola, it looks like the slope isn't much steeper than the sand dropping into the waves at the beach. The perspective change is nothing more than pucker factor. The same is true of sidehill driving. What you feel like when you're there, is NOT what it looks like from outside.

Re: AZFJ new improved mod party

Too Funny BellyDoc. Last time I felt like that was when I flew from Falcon Field to Laughlin and back with two other people on board in a trainer. We landed on fumes and got an ear full from the owner of an aircraft sales outfit who I hear now is the owner of a much larger aviation school outfit there.

The owner use to have a yearly BBQ party there where it was a smoke out to end all smoke outs. A good ole boys BBQ that I hear no longer exists.

I do miss those days and people.
