This First Post Will be updated with all the current Information!
OK, since I'm the German in the non-group group I was volunteered by JP to Organize an Oktoberfest!
First we wanted to go to the Luke AFB Fest but go figure its over already (dont ask me but they held it on Sep. 28th) so we are going to have to settle for one of the other events.
Ok, Ignore the poll! after some feedback it looks like people rather have our own Oktoberfest instead of going to one of the ones in town!
I am working out the details and will post up as soon as I got something Please let me know of any suggestions!
OK, It looks like I'm going to have to start over! But before I do lets figure out some stuff first here...
Date and Time: TBD
Location: our house in QC. I'm guessing...?
Food:
Kase Spatzle
Beer brats
Sauerkraut
German Meatloave with German Gravy
German Potato Salad
German Apple cake (Family recipe for Apfelstrudel)
And BOB (I recommend to go to AJs they have a good selection of German Beers)

I know that usually there is a Oktoberfest in Fountain Hills but I cant find it at the moment so if Kat or Dan know anything please let me know...
Also if you know any other choices please let me know!
I don't recall there ever being an Oktoberfest in Fountain Hills in the last 3 years I've lived there, but of course Dan and Kat can verify that. I could be living under a rock!

Summit '08 - Patience is a virtue (but crappy one).
I think two years ago it was at Fort McDowell Casino outside in a tent - but that was before the casino had the resort and everything....and it was lame.
P.S. - didn't vote, don't really like either location.....
Location: The desert. And yeah, it gets hot here...

Re: AZFJ Oktoberfest!
I don't know. Free is always good, but the last time I went to the Tempe one I was not only bored, I was disappointed in the food, and broke quickly from the horrible beer pricing. Seriously, if I am paying more than $6 for a beer, it better not be some Domestic bubble piss water, and even good German beer for More than that for a dixie cup full is Bull****.
I think I'll just catch you guys on the next trail run, and instead of going out to meet the Mass of sheeple, I'll stay home with some Dunkel Weissen and enjoy my evenings off.
