Sorry I'm not on here everyday like I have been in past weeks. My house will be sold on Monday and my lender's bank is jerking us around a little with some flood zone nonsense (I have the flood map in front of me and the new house is no where near the flood plain) so I'm stressed out my ear hurts from talking on the phone, and I've been boxing things up and moving things into the garage at the new house and yada, yada, yada, I hope things go smoother talking to the lender tomorrow than they did today.
...Thanks guys I needed to vent that. My wife's already a basket case over the move, so I've elected to not include her in some of the latest gnarly details and add to her psychosis, so I'm kind of goin' it alone.
Ok back on topic.
#1 I wouldn't mind doing some light web work. I have a bit of flash knowledge (although I must say I was much better at action script 2.0). I've never published anything to the web someone else has always done it for me. Let me know if you need some doodles or thingamabits. If I ever make it to an event I can cut some video too.
Rubicon trail for next years spring fling sounds delicious. I think any non-Utahers that are monitoring this forum are already getting jealous. A good badge is going to be salt in the wound. I vote for whomever steps up to be the president. If the cost of badges is low enough I can front the money and we can skip the treasurer and dues thing until it is necessary. I'm still trying to get in contact with Symbol arts in Ogden, but I'm concerned because it seems from the website that they only deal in metal which will be a lot more costly than plastic that looks like metal. We'll see how it goes down. In the meantime if anybody else knows anyone in the plastics business let us know.
and... please bless my house deal goes through on Monday.

Good luck with the house! We're selling our's too, and moving into a new home. Tired of always fixing stuff in a 50 year old one. We're looking out in Herriman. Mouth of Rose Canyon and a LOT closer to Utah lake and 5 mile pass, etc.

Well if you move out here to Herriman I'll see you often. I'm in the Riverton/Herriman "Gray" area.... I get mail for both cities-

I'm working with a guy in Draper that has been awesome. (I know I was complaining earlier, but it is the bank not the mortgage guy that is messin' with me)
He's a broker so he can usually do the loan cheaper than most banks around. I compared against America First (best closing costs by $1000+) and Republic home mortgage. Neither of them could touch what this guy is doing for me on the loan. PM me and I'll get you his contact info. I'm not trying to advertise here for him, just looking out for my computer nerd friends.
I hate reading threads that drift so far from the thread topic that I don't care about don't you.
Sorry everyone. This is about the only thread I use these days.
How do you guys feel about doing overnight camping trips? I know I have plenty of gear for camping and extra stuff we can use for the group. Anyone up for a trip like this sometime?
I'd be down for that. Usually during the summer I put a tent up Santaquin Canyon and go spend the evening/night up there and then drive down first thing in the morning to go to work then drive back up at night. It's one of the best things about living so close to the mountain.
I would like to get a 3inch lift and thought I'd ask the local crew. Who in the Salt Lake area should I go to for the lift? Should I buy one online first, or should I go to a shop that specializes in installing a certain lift? What kind of time and cost is involved for a kit to be installed? I'm not too picky on the kind of lift and price IS a factor for me. I'd like to keep the price down if possible.
Well i havnt really looked underneath mine yet so I'm not sure how difficult putting a lift on an FJ is. however being mechanicly inclined (so I hope since I do it for a living) I pretty much have most if not all the tools needed to do it ( spring compressor, impacts, prybar's B.F. hammers) just need a place to do it. see how intensive it is Im sure it could be knocked out in several hours.
Go to Les Schwab for a lift. They back it up!!!!!!!!! My bro got a 6" lift on his 07 Tacoma and his front diff was having problems. The dealer said it was because of the lift and how the could have messed something up. Go figure. Anyway he took it back to Schwab and they rebuilt it for free. The one in draper is a great store. They did my lift and have been great.
