Re: Utah Club 2008 ideas

We should do a lift day. I'm serious about this.
I have the OME sitting in my garage right now waiting for some free time and some moral support to get it together. I would have to rent the compressors and some of the other business. As soon as we finish moving in, I've got a 3 bay garage if we need a spot and everyone was willing to drive up to Wellsville. Also if we schedule it ahead of time, I would drive south for sure.

Sublime - I'm no lift expert but I bought the OME kit because it was around $700.00 and everyone that runs it seems to have positive things to say about it. I don't feel like I need any thing fancier, but I did not feel like the donut spacers were enough for me. I'm also not a mechanic, but I am able to figure most things out, so I was kinda waiting to get a garage or summer, and thought about new treads, but regardless I plan to install myself. The most reputable shop in Cache Valley wants about $300 to install it. I can buy a lot for $300.

Re: Utah Club 2008 ideas

What's up guys. I jumped in here from the Spring Fling thread. I was interested in doing some occasional trail runs with a group in the SLC area and this looks like the group. I can't commit a lot of time though. I have two young boys and we've always got something going on, but I always make time to get out and play in the FJ.

MoabRat... I think we met in Ouray last year. I'm pretty sure we did the Black Bear Pass run in the same group. I actually have pics of your rig on that trail. I'll see if I can find them and post a few.

See you in Moab.

Cool! Black Bear was so fun, which rig and what's your real name? I'm certain I'll have pics of you too.

Re: Utah Club 2008 ideas

What's the latest on the club, and the emblems? Do we have an up to date list of all those interested in the club?

I do have the club list. It's got 37 FJ owners on it now . I don't know where we are on the emblems but I've yet to throw a site up on our domain space and I thought that since a great many of us are going to our first run of this year in two weeks in Moab that we'd all talk about it over dinner Saturday night at the Poplar Place after our runs that day. I'll have a trip planned every two weeks after that until the passes close up again for the next winter. Don't worry, I'll keep you guys busy.

Re: Utah Club 2008 ideas

I want to join the club, put me on the 'list'!

I just purchased a new FJ for work, replacing my trusty 98 Pathfinder.

I beat the hell out of that Pathfinder going up to towers for work...

The FJ is quite a ride and I'm excited to see other FJ owners and their modifications!

Good luck with the house! We're selling our's too, and moving into a new home. Tired of always fixing stuff in a 50 year old one. We're looking out in Herriman. Mouth of Rose Canyon and a LOT closer to Utah lake and 5 mile pass, etc.
Not to hijack the thread, but Rose Canyon is really nice!

My work takes me up there from time to time...

Re: Utah Club 2008 ideas

Hey I Have internet again FINALLY!

Moved into a new house and digis was backed up a few weeks on their installs, I think I missed a lot. I'm still trying to pull together my business for this weekend, I'll be at my father-in-law's tonight so I'll see if he's in for the spring fling at least Sat-Sun.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm still working on the emblems. I've contacted a number of people, but I'm still looking for the right mfg. If anyone has any more leads on this please let me know and I'd be happy to make the phone calls.

I'd better get over to the spring fling thread and get the details for next weekend.

You're on, we'll be hitting the ground running after our first event of the year, Spring Fling 2008. Glad you are joining us! Look foward to meeting you. Only 4 days left!
