Re: Utah Cruisers Feb. 24 mini gathering

Eggs in the City, Midvale Miner and Porcupine are all great places for breakfast. I would be happy to get together and talk FJ's anywhere. I guess it will depend on how many people are coming to breakfast for sure that will determine the location. I like Eggs in the City the most but it is a small restaurant. I will be coming to breakfast for sure just in case someone is taking a count. Look forward to meeting all of you.

Re: Utah Cruisers Feb. 24 mini gathering

I vote for the Porcupine, cause I'm lazy lol . It's right down the street. Let's pick one of these and have some fun visiting. We can decide then if we want to hit a bit of a run after. Rattlesnake and Little Moab are a bit of a commute but usually fun in winter. Certainly we could find some mud somewhere close by too. We could also commute up the canyon 10 miles and ski a bit. I'm really stoked to see our gang a name and a bit of a direction. We're growing up before our eyes We can talk about our website a little bit, before I throw something up that no one but my mom likes. One thing I'm wondering. Would it be useful to see if we can get a little subsection in the regional forum section like the AZ gang?

I'm kinda torn on this. I see a their sub section as kinda like a private forum that only AZ people can enter and all others are unwanted. It's almost kinda snobish to me. OTOH, it could be nice to have a place of our own, but for the most part I like being out in the open. It kinda gives that feeling of everyone is welcome. Dunno, let's see what others have to say.

As far as breakfast goes just name a place Moabrat and we will follow. Just pick your favorite that you think is big enough to hold all of us and whomever wants to show up can. I think that is the way to go here.

Eggs in the City is a small restaurant that might be better when its warm outside so we could eat out on the patio. Anything is fine with me.. Sunday is a tuff one in the morning for me because I have church at 9am. Saturday and weekdays work better. I just can't wait to meet everyone and do some wheeling. I still need to make my FJ meaner so I can really do some wheeling. But I'm still in most anytime... I just need a little notice, and any other day but Sunday.

I didn't think of that. It is nice for everyone to be welcome in our threads. If we want a private area for some reason I can't forsee yet, I can just throw one up on our website. I've set up several boards and if you keep it simple it's really easy.

Oh yea, and breakfast. Well how many are we now, 6 or 8?

Gotcha . It's much easier for us to get babysitting on Saturdays too because the grandparents are in church along with you. You're on the list and we'll plan plenty of Saturday adventures.

Re: Utah Cruisers Feb. 24 mini gathering

Porcupine sounds good to me! Maybe PM some of the other UT FJers like HOJU, MidgetFJ, tcd7362, chango, skibumm, FJVentana, what happened to Alpinist? Hope he did not have a bad fall Ice climbing. I doubt Gericurl76 will drive 3 hours round trip for breakfast. MoabRat sounds like you have a spreadsheet? Maybe you can send a short invite to your list?

I will bring my Son Devin who is 14yrs. If the group gets much larger, then we should probably call ahead to make sure they get us a table together? As it stands, we should be ok just showing up.

If you show up in a tie/Jacket, it's ok...you can sneak out of Elder's Quorum once a month without recourse ... jk...I know some have Church and other obligations. We will have to do a Saturday with a more serious run opportunity when the weather improves. Come share the love if you can.

What time works for everyone?

So far it's just me, but I may invite someone. So 1-2 head count here.

Can't wait to see old friends, and make new ones!
