We've been talking about a get together of some sort this Sunday, Feb 24. I think at the least we could get together for breakfast/bagels/talk etc. We can just meet at an IHOP or something or even my home. Sara could crank out some of her famous pancakes if requested. If you guys have a preference to take a run afterward or instead let's work it out over the next two days. I wouldn't mind getting a bit of mud going . We can work out some of the details of our new club, the Utah Cruisers. It seemed like there were at least half a dozen of us willing to meet, see you all soon.
Location: Heber Valley, Utah....high trails are opening up...snow is almost gone!...the fish are on the bite!!

Re: Utah Cruisers Feb. 24 mini gathering
Sounds good Scott, I work every other Sunday and I believe I have this Sunday off, if not I will see if someone will trade me Sundays. Either way I let you know on Thursday.
This is contigent however on whether you guys clear that gunk/inversion out of that Salt Lake Valley. I might need to get my GPS out just to find my way around down there!
We are there! If you want to do it at your house or IHOP, either way is fine. But if you do it at your house let us know what we can bring. (Coffee, bagels, juice, etc). I can't wait to meet all of you guys!

I haven't been real active on this forum in quite a while but I may be interested in some information and possibly a run on Sunday, however Saturdays are much better for me. I live in AF. How can I get on your list to be notified of events. Thanks.

Hi, be very scared, you were already on my spreadsheet. We'll try to decide all the details for Sunday by tomorrow night. My wife and daughter have been battling the flu so I haven't had any planning time. Too busy dodging hacking, coughing germ clouds

Maybe we shouldn't meet at your house in case they feel like poo. Wouldn't want to make them miserable by having company. Anywhere is fine Scott, and get well girls!

We should probably decide if there's someplace worth taking a run to or not. That would probably decide where to eat. I'm itching for Spring. I've got some very cool runs in the Uintas plotted on the topo's for all of us and several end in old Spanish mines or Ghost towns . Before we thaw though everything is really just mud and snow in the west desert or one of the 5/9/11 mile passes to the south. I'm going to see if anything is kept open to Tooele. There are also some very obscure Pony Express (not the usual national monument stuff) stops out that way we might be able to find in winter. There are all sorts of trails I bet are open or close enough out towards Wendover but that really takes a long, full day or an overnight at State line to do.
