Um, last I talked to Charles was around this time last year, and he was prepping to head to Moab to redo the book (only first addition out then). He was planning on quite a bit of time out there. Good guy, worth buying his book to support him.
What are your Spring Break dates? You don't want to get caught up in the Annual Jeep Safari March 31st thru April 8th.
Yeah I saw that also when I was researching the trip. We will be on vacation from 3/22 - 3/30, and returning back to work on my birthday which is 3/31.
So we are planning on arriving at Moab either 3/24 or 3/25 and being there for 3 days, then head on back to Oregon thru Salt Lake City
Location: Heber Valley, Utah....or fishing on a local stream or river.

Re: Going to Moab, Utah...
Here is a good website to look up trails at, look at what others have written/photographed/video taped about their trips, also check out the Google maps that are marked with trail obstacles and trail maps. http://www.traildamage.com/index.php
This was a bunch of us in Moab this past fall, there was a couple of us in pretty much stock FJ's(no lifts, some protection). Moab, 2nd annual Columbus Day trip!
...and this is the trip we are planning in April(Spring Fling)... Moab Spring Fling 2008
There should also be several groups down there "pre-running" trails for EJS. Find them and see about joining them. Whatever you do, enjoy your trip to and from Moab and your time on vacation!

Great, thank you!
Would I need an off road permit while off roading in Moab?
