Fun play area near Draper

To all those in the SLC area, I was out cruising around yesterday and found a "new to me" play area. Its west of Draper, east of Bluffdale, and was approx 10 acres of bowls, small hills, and other interesting land formations. It had plenty of mud, but also some more techinical areas to to test out those skills. I was out there for about an hour and had a blast.

I guess the reason for posting this was to present a close by alternative as opposed to driving out west out of Utah Lake and south of Toelle, especially with the mountains still having lots of snow. Anyone else ever check this spot out? Its right next to 14600 south and the train tracks.

Is this the area you are talking about?

If so, it looks pretty cool. Heck, someone could hit that at lunch.

I work in Springville and have taken a few long lunches up hobble creek canyon.

Bluepete.

That is the one...its way fun with plenty of challenging obstacles for those feeling like thier FJ's are just too pretty..

Hobble creek canyon looks like fun as well. I've been on parts of it in my old Explorer, but nothing that was much more than a gravel road...

That's some pretty open land. I wonder if it's private property.

Re: Fun play area near Draper

It likely private property, but the land has been well used by dirt bikes and vehicles otherwise. Worst case scenario, it would just be a "you need to leave the premises" kind of deal. There is no sign marking the entrance and the only gate to the place looks like it hasn't been functional in years.

Hoju...

There is some cool stuff back in there, but Saturday morning won't work for me. Sunday however I am free and would like to head out there or over to Little Moab.

hoju,

Saturdays are cool. Speaking of that, I went out yesterday to the launch area for paragliders at the point of the mountain. There is some fun tooling around stuff to do out there as well.
