Re: Mark your calendars

You can leave yours dirty. I won't be too hurt. You better take a shower though.

Re: Mark your calendars

We will be talking about Cruzin Havana at the meeting this Sat. We are also going to make this a 2 day event. Yes you heard me right a 2 day event. On Sun. June 22 we will be doing a Trail Run. So make sure you set both days aside. More details to come.

This is going to be exciting. I would like the run to be somewhat difficult, any suggestions are welcome. COcHEF if you are avail for the run I would like to talk to you.

THIS WILL BE ONE RUN NOT TO MISS.

Re: Mark your calendars

Sounds like a great run!! The only problem is that my parents will be visiting that week and leaving early on the 21st, so I am not sure exactly what time I would be able to get on the road that morning. We should be able to start heading that way by 0800.

Re: Mark your calendars

Stevinson in Golden has the best parts dept. I have ever personally visited, they routinely stock obscure parts for my '84 Hilux and my niece's '89 Corolla. And the parts guys actually know their cars and trucks. Was just there a week or two ago; always a pleasure.

have fun on your run.

Re: Mark your calendars

Here are some possible trails that we could run.

Bill Moore Lake:

TrailDamage.com - Bill Moore Lake

Red Elephant Hill:

TrailDamage.com - Red Elephant Hill

S.O.B. Hill:

TrailDamage.com - S.O.B. Hill

S.O.B. is rated the most difficult of the three runs. S.O.B. is also the furthest away. Let me know what you guys think. Bill Moore Lake is very scenic and does have a bit of difficulty, not much.

I am adding a few more that are located centrally for Denver/Boulder/Longmont/Loveland and Colorado Springs peeps.

Red Cone:

TrailDamage.com - Red Cone

Slaughterhouse Gulch:

TrailDamage.com - Slaughterhouse Gulch

We should be able to do the whole loop of Slaughterhouse. Maybe even the Mud Pits.

Re: Mark your calendars

for reference i would say general difficulty of Bill Moore is much like Metberry Gulch, i have done both in a fully stock FJ with a fully stock jeep behind me, both rigs had 0 problems

Re: Mark your calendars

We also did Bill Moore in stock. There is a more difficult by-pass you can do, it is a rock hill, that we did not do. There was a Hummer and I con't remember what else, but the Hummer didn't make it. He said that his rear diff. lock didn't lock. Not sure.
