Re: Mark your calendars

What time is the Havana crawl going to get under way? I need to work that AM, but want to try and get down there.

We also did Bill Moore in stock. There is a more difficult by-pass you can do, it is a rock hill, that we did not do. There was a Hummer and I con't remember what else, but the Hummer didn't make it. He said that his rear diff. lock didn't lock. Not sure.
I'll definitely be there. I live only a couple blocks from Alameda and Havana so it would be dumb for me NOT to be. As Far as Trail Runs go, i've done Bill Moore 3 or 4 times, this last time I went up the rock hill you speak of, made it up without a problem. I had a Landcruiser and a Jeep at the top of the hill watching me and both were impressed when my FJ made it without issue.

They were even more shocked when my buddies 06 Tacoma and my other buddy with his 01 Jeep XJ made it up without lockers. Although, I went up the steepest part in the center and they went around the right side...all challenging for sure, but a whole bunch of fun to drive.

Re: Mark your calendars

Things have been a little hectic for this family. I can tell you that we will be doing these trails:

IronClads:

TrailDamage.com - Ironclads

T-33A:

TrailDamage.com - T-33A Plane Crash

Meeting time and place to come.

Yes there will be a "Trail Team" joining us.

Re: Mark your calendars

Hey guys and gals, we just found out that the trails above are a no go. They posted yesterday that Iron Clads has been gated and trees dropped to keep people out.

Plan B:

Spring Creek:

TrailDamage.com - Spring Creek

Re: Mark your calendars

That one looks like it may be a little tough for a stock rig. I was reading some of the trail reports (the latest one from last summer), and they took a bit of damage. Has anybody here made that run?

Re: Mark your calendars

Yeah, i'd have to say that my rig would be out if that's the trail you guys tackle. I can't damage it considering it's currently the only vehicle my (soon-to-be) wife and i have that is operational, not to mention my daily driver. Any other options?

Re: Mark your calendars

We actually did it with 2 stock rigs they did fine. There are also by passes if you wish. ocr14a was one of the stock rigs that did it, he was great.
