Re: Ellis Jeep Trail - June 28 or 29th

I would be interested in joining in on this. I have to work Saturdays, but could run the trail on Sunday. It just depends on what the group decides. I will keep an eye on this post.

There are lots of camping spots at the north end of the trail, but the closer you get to Hog Park Reservoir, the more ATV/camp trailer competition there is.

This is on the calendar and I'll point stagecoachco to this thread since it's literally in his back yard!

Re: Ellis Jeep Trail - June 28 or 29th

So I posted this up on COTTORA as well this afternoon and we already got 4 more campers and one maybe, 10 rigs total, this is going to be a blast. It would be bada$$ if we could get over 20 out there.

Tony/Jackie still haven't seen your vote!

I'll keep everyone posted on the details and Leo there's a couple of people talking about driving up and spending the night in Steamboat on Friday.

Re: Ellis Jeep Trail - June 28 or 29th

Tony wants to go up, but doesn't want to camp. He used to hunt up there with his dad as a kid. So it looks like yes on the run and no to the camping.

Re: Ellis Jeep Trail - June 28 or 29th

Alright, so I got some suggetions from the guys and gals over on COTTORA

http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum...ad.php?t=97550

Lysmachia aka Molly has offered to do "Molly Food". Now I haven't had the opportunity myself to experience Molly Food, but I hear it is pretty good.
Molly's only requirement is that we provide her with $20 a head, for a lunch and dinner. If there is anything left over it will be redistributed amongst everyone.

The other option, that 92regcab aka Nate made was to do this pot-luck style.
For instance, if we decide to eat steaks, have someone bring 10 and someone else bring another 10 should there be 20 rigs going.

Of course, if you rather bring your own dinner that's fine too.

Myself, I am kind of leaning toward the pot luck style dinner, $40 for me is fine, but I have already got a freezer full of steaks, so I wouldn't be out anything. Besides that, even though I know Molly is more than willing to do this for us, I don't think it would be fair, cause she likes to wheel too.

What says you?

Re: Ellis Jeep Trail - June 28 or 29th

Pot luck is a great idea. I have done all the food for big camp outs and I do know what goes into it. I love to cook though.
