So is everyone over here good with bring your own food, between the two forums this seems to be the way the majority is leaning.
I was kind of leaning that way too, but...
If not, for those that want to pot-luck it, I was thinking of fast and easy, so brauts came to mind (I can eat those things day and night) However, the package of Johnsville brauts I buy at Sams has 12 links in it and there ain't no way I can eat 12 of them. I'd most likely have about 6 left after my wife and I got done, up for someone else.
How does that sound? I know they got spicy Polish and Italian sausage too. It would be cheap, quick and easy. Just think too, those people that decided to BYOF would be smelling us grilling them and become interested too, we could sell the left overs and make our money back!
I am looking forward to this, count me in. I hope to have met some of you before hand. If anyone wants I can get brats, burgers etc extremely cheap. I am a chef and can use my perveyors to get us some good pricing if we decide on the group deal. 10# of brats (from continetal a local companywho make amazing sausages) for about 1/3 less than the stores. We can also make use of this for future events, It saves a ton when buying for large groups. Or we could just get a whole lamb or pig and let that mother pit roast for the day and night....hmmmm 150 for a 70# lamb...yummm. now im just wandering.. but I will be bringing the smoker...
