Ellis Jeep Trail - June 28 or 29th

This is a trail I'd really like to hit this year, I know at least one other person is also interested.

http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=168

Looking at the video of the run COTTORA did last year, looks like the snow was melted the weekend of June 16 and from the looks of it made for a very fun muddy and messy time.

Video:

To not conflict with the Havana Crawl on the 21st, what would work best for everyone June 28th or 29th?

Next question, would anyone be up to camping out there? Go Saturday, wheel during the day, camp, wake up and wheel some more. This may be kind of cool for those who can't make Saturday, but can on Sunday.

Re: Ellis Jeep Trail - June 28 or 29th

This might be a drive up friday night thing for those that can.

Check on the return loop, there is "Elkhorn Mountain", not shown on TrailDamage or Dirtopia, but it's in Wells book, trail #36 (Diamond) on p. 137. He recommends combining it with Ellis for a "full day".

Where would you want aim for the camp spot?

I am pretty sure I can run faster than you can, so that leaves me out.

We're going to have to get together so I can see what you're talking about.

Like I said, it would be cool if we could camp out and then in the morning meet up with folks that couldn't camp out or make it the day before, so we may have to work the camp spot around that idea if it's possible.
