Thanks for the links. The family and I packed up a lunch, and headed up Old Stage yesterday to see what we could find. I got off on a couple of trails and "tested the waters" and am becoming a little more confident. I think my biggest problem is that I am not familiar with what my rig can do with me behind the wheel.

not exceptionally close to colorado springs, but for a nice drive and pretty easy offroad place w/out people ...(some more difficult terrain there if you want it) try "slaughterhouse gulch".


it's pretty close to bailey, but closer to KZ ranch or harris park...i can give directions if needed.

plus u can take the guns and do some shooting since there are a cpl shooting ranges along the trail.

...just a thought
