Arizona Sales Tax
Just wondering if anyone of you have had experience with this. I know that if you have a private vehicle sale in Arizona, neither party pays sales tax. I sold my CRV a couple weeks ago and because the buyer was so nice, I even went to MVD with her to help her get the registration and new license plates. They never asked for stated sales tax.
If you buy from a dealership from out of state, you have to pay sales tax in Arizona when you go to register the vehicle in state. If I were to buy a FJ from out-of-state in a private sale, would I have to pay in-state sales tax when I registered the vehicle in Arizona? Thanks for the help with this question.
