Cryptozoology

A good friend of mine, Aaron, is lecturing on cryptozoology at the DMNS on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 7pm.

DMNS : Birders, Bigfoot, and Bond, James Bond

No, it's not a joke and he's a very entertaining speaker!

That sounds fun - wish I could go... kinda far... unless I could convince my alien friends to beam me over...

Sorry I missed it.
I'm a member of the board of directors for WIPS (Western Interior Paleonotological Society) and we have our monthly meetings in Ricketson Auditorium (many if not most of our members are also members of DMNS).

I had no idea there were other science folks in the CO group. Nice to know.

I'll have to get you together with my buddy Aaron. I can imagine you two would have a lot to talk about, although he's on the entomology side of things. I've also been wanting to see the gold exhibit they have on right now.

Well, here's one of my finds in that area...
Paleontology at Every Fork in the Road

It's noghitn extremely exciting (to the scientists or the average fellow), but it was pretty cool for me, personally.

I'm more into old dead things, but I'd be into checking out the Gold sometime if you'd want to go together. We could go see the gold, catch an IMAX flick and go out for a beer after (or before) or soemthing like that.

What you say?

I say that sounds great!. I'm busy until next Monday, but after that I have two weeks of relatively free time. Looks like it's through June 8th and we have to buy tickets for a specific time. I can also see if I can get us in through the back door Let me know what days are best for you and I'll look into it.

And that find is very cool. Aaron is specifically in the arachnid section there!
