I might be back in time for this...I should be back around middle of August. Sounds like a great time.

Don't worry, if that happens, I'll take my shirt off so you won't feel alone, none of mine are visible in other words.

yes, I am looking at the 22, 23, and 24th if all works well. I mioght have to be late on the 22 due to a Concert that I cant miss, but no doubt I will want to do this, but I think we still need the numbers.
Steven, either way I am campin that weekend and you are both welcome to join.. But I want to find a place to do this. I am going to a show at red rocks in the 22nd, so maybe summit county etc.. bill and athena could still join in the fun, any suggestions on camp grounds?? I could get to camp, set up, get the pit going, go to the show then come back and begin the weekend... Lets brain storm.... I just dont know the area that well.... HELP

I am sure Bill and Athena know this well but let me share this! I used to live way up at St. Mary's Glacier. So I know the area pretty good as well. There are some kick ass camping spots just outside of Idaho Springs. You can bury yourself in the middle of no where with in an hour of Denver. There are nice spots close to a nice river.
Here are directions.
Take exit 238 (Fall River Road) about 8 miles up the road you will come to a switchback with a giant house in front of you. Take that dirt road left (Rainbow Road). You can start camping near or along the river after about 1.5 miles. There are a couple of lakes up in that area as well. Chinn's lake and Fall River Reservoir. One you can drive to, and one you park and hike to. Your better off with an SUV or 4x4 but I have seen smaller cars make the drive just fine.
Here is a better description of what I was talking about.
