The wife and I may join. I have done the silver island mountain loop, there are lots of good side trails to explore there and lots of interesting geologic formations (volcanic), but not very challenging in the 4 wheel aspect.
Anybody bringing kids??? I have a 3 1/2 y.o. boy that is very adventurous. He sleeps very well on the long drives. We will most likely spend the night in Wendover. Since some are leaving at 7:00 am from SLC, are we all planning to meet at 9:00?
I would say that's the plan. We can meet at the gas station at the start of the trail. I'll post up the exit numbers and stuff this week. Looking foward to having you along.

4. When sending your wife down the road with a gas can, it is impolite to ask her to bring back beer.

Action, I'll give you a portable radio.
WhiteRim, we'll be leaving from a gas station at the start of the trail. It's where the Bonneville Flats starts, It's off the I80, exit 4. It's a Sinclair station:

Steve,
I'm thinking of buying a pair of handheld GMRS/FRS units. We wouldn't be able to hear anyone on CB, but I just hate to fork over $$ for such outdated technology as CB...I know I know I just need to get over it.
