Kalen, the Wendover to Promentory would be great. What does the B stand for in KB?
Scott,

B is for my last name...James is my middle name. I get a little paranoid giving out my full name on the internet so I just go with kbjames.

Attached is the .kmz file with the route from the gas station to Promontory.

Re: Utah Cruisers Run: Great Salt Lake Ghost Towns, May 18th 2008

cool pic. I thought the pile of bricks was the round house guess I was wrong.
I washed the truck yesterday to, only I was lazy and took it to the car wash they did a damn nice job for $14 LOL. and today my FJ decided it didnt want to come home with me tonite. got a massive electrical short somewhere. hooke up some jumpers and they damn near melted them and the battery was smoking somthing fierce. So I closed the hood and said hmmm Ill let toyota fix it. 2000 miles and a major break down. Oh well I still Love my FJ, maybe it wanted to spend some alone time with that contour I park next to everyday

I had a great time! Minus the now blistering sunburn I have. I need to keep some sunscreen in the FJ.

It sounds like your battery has an internal short. Was your battery loose? All of the washboard, bumps and dips mixed with a loose battery can cause that. Mine was a bit loose when new.

Re: Utah Cruisers Run: Great Salt Lake Ghost Towns, May 18th 2008

It was the battery that was bad, replaced and a few other odds and ends fixed by the dealer. I just didnt feel like investing the time to trouble shoot and fix it myself when all i had to do was take to the dealer. I fix cars all day the last thing I wana do at the end of the day is work on mine, at least as long as I have a warranty
