Boulder Colorado June 14 or 15

Anybody interested in heading up next weekend??
No times or trails set at this point. Thought we would do a little get-together before Ouray. Talk about the details of our upcoming trip. Post your trail ideas/times/dates... I would be up for anything b/n the springs and Collins.

Sure sounds good, what were you looking at doing? Easy, moderate or hard?

I guess I should have said Sunday works best for me, but Saturday can be done.

I wanted to go back up and complete Sevenmile Creek, not sure if that's too easy though

I honestly didn't have any trails in mind. I haven't been up to Sevenmile Creek yet. Caribou and Penn were closed last time I checked(which was two days ago). I'd be willing to drive a few miles for something decent. Probably something within the moderate range. I would do harder, but Im still testing the limits on my FJ and I don't have a lot of recovery gear yet. I used to have a TJ Wrangler, so its somewhat of a transition. I have a 2008 SE with a 3" OME and 305s, OEM skids and sliders. If you want to do easier or harder, Im game for whatever... Anyone with stock will probably be able to do almost everything Im comfortable with. Please post up!

Re: Boulder Colorado June 14 or 15

A few trail ideas on the northern side:

1. Johnny Park Road (been camping here for five years. Extremely fun! Stock can make it. Challenging, but I will help with the articulation.)

2. Pole Hill (another fun one for stock!) though I haven't been all the way through it.

3. Pierson Park Road. Haven't been, but heard good things.

4. Plane Crash/Ironclads (can be hard, but also pretty cool)

5. Left Hand Canyon(depends on where you go) Im not doing carnage... Done most of it in my jeep. Ask me about it if your concerned...

6. Bill Moore/Red Elephant (parts are difficult, but hardest parts can
be avoided. Pretty nice overall) Bring your fly rod!

These are all pretty nice and moderate and challenging.

Can't wait to meet everybody. I feel like an outcast. Just joined up. Just found out Im going to the summit though!! Doing Black Bear and Ophir! Call me if you need a ride/friend/fj/tentmate.

You and me both! That and my young, dumb and full of...(nevermind) days are over with!

The only time I have been on ther first three is when we were snow bashing. So those would be cool. Carnage yeah not a chance here either. The plane crash sounds cool I haven't been there yet. These are all closer then 7mile, I think Ironclads is closed.

We did Red Elephant a few weeks back and ran into snow pack up there, not sure about now. Some of the same group also ran into snow pack on Bill Moore about a mile up.

Re: Boulder Colorado June 14 or 15

Saw this post and that you guys had responded to mine as well.

I'm game for either day, don't have any recommendations, other than pulling out my trail book and picking one. If we have some experienced folks, with recovery gear, I'd be up for something a little more challenging.

Unfortunately, my bumper and winch won't be here for a few more weeks.

Looking forward to meeting you all and getting dirty!
