Official Colorado Trail photo thread

I thought that instead of bouncin from one thread to another, we could post our pics of recent runs on this thread. Along with the pics please include date and trail run you were on..

ps... I'd like to keep it to where it's photos and descriptions that's all.

Re: Official Colorado Trail photo thread

I'll start..today we attempted to go to Bill Moore lake and was told by someone coming back down that there were still drifts. So we decided to branch off and try Empire Loop when again hitting snow drifts about 3/4 into the trail. We did make it to the Empire Hilton cabin and signed the guest book. Not many pics but some pretty cool ones with standing water from all the run-off.

here's the first few:

a very cool trail we found hidden... not used for quite some time but absolutely gorgeous. We found a cool fall (Mill Creek) and then shortly after we landed up on Mill Creek Rd.

Re: Official Colorado Trail photo thread

Last Weekend and hiked into Black Canyon of the Gunnison. On the way back I tried to run Mt. Antero. We made it most of the way up but were not successful at making it to the top. We ran into 15' to 20' foot snow drifts.
Still had a great time, and plan to go back in a couple of months to try it again. The trail is rated as a Black, but the area we made it to could be done with a stock vehicle.
