Re: Flagstaff fall foliage run?

May I suggest doing the SnowBowl SkyRide? That makes for a great day trip, and the scenery can't be beat. Check with the SnowBowl to see how the colors are doing- I'd bet peak color is still a couple weeks away, althought the temps have been below freezing up ther for the past week or so. It's likely to be cold at the top of the mountain - be prepared for temps near freezing at 11,000'.

After or before the Skyride, the road to the top of Mt Elden offers a chance to see some dirt and colors. It's off Schultz Pass Road:

The map shown in the link above also shows the loop around the Peaks- that's also very scenic, with lots of Apsens to see.

Re: Flagstaff fall foliage run?

After starting this post discovered that I have to leave town most of this month on business. Tried to PM some folks about it. Oh well, I will however be in Alb during ballon festival. I'll post some pics and let everyone know how it went towing the trailer. I hope that some of you get together and have a good time. Double Dang I was hoping to make it to 300 without any bad points. Have not posted in a while but must have offended someone recently with an old post. Wish they would explain why one's gotten a bad point as well as showing when you get a good point.

Re: Flagstaff fall foliage run?

Went to Flag my first weekend I had the Fj, absolutly wonderful weather but honestly nothing up there worth driving that far...The leaves were starting to turn and that was an awesome site, it was fun to put like 500 miles on him!!

Jessa... I'll give you 20 bucks if you can get a plant to start growing in the mud stuck to your rear wheel well liner and then take a picture

The leaves are changing now up here. You only have a week or two left to enjoy this year.
