The stock switches can be wired to your Hella harness but it will take a little bit of creative connector work. In general, if you do not have access to a multitude of different connectors the stock switch is better used with the stock harness.

If you absolutely must have the stock switch and want to use something like the Hella or Piaa wiring harness you can purchase the stock wiring harness and just cut off and use the connector that attatches to the stock switch. This method is certainly not cheap.

I used this same switch 00550-35976..It is illuminated in the on position.
$16.00 vs the FJ switch and the wiring harness that I was quoted at over $100.00. Just took a little dremmel on the interior of the blank (sides only) and looks completley stock. also I used an add a fuse to the interior fuse box. very affordable, and very simple.

Did you use the regular add-a-fuse or the mini? Looks like the mini is the one that fits?

Are replacement bulbs availible for these switches?
The first post, third picture down. The two screw thingy are the bulbs.
I need the orange ones (X4). To put them into my Taco switches to have the color matches the rest of the stock switches. All they are are little buld with an orange sock on them.
