Jamie,
Whoa! You can source the connector? If so, I will call you tomorrow to place an order. I should have asked when I ordered the light.

I ordered mine from Pueblo Toyota in, you guessed it Pueblo, Colorado. The guys there, Fred and Adam (719-543-1719) claim that the wiring and connector are already there. I have not verified this yet as I have not installed mine.
If this is true, that the wiring is already there, this is cunning after market plot by Toyota to knowing leave out the front map light and make us poor buggers buy the this damn light that should have been there in the first place. OH Well, it will give me another reason to play with the FJ...like I need one!!!!

It is only there if you have an '09 model FJ. The wiring diagrams for the '08 and '07 models do not show the light, nor a connector. You just tap into the line that is connected to the center overhead lamp.

He's right, sorry it took so long we have been pretty busy and this was my first chance to look. The connector really isn't going to help the 07 and 08 guys, if anyone wants it though it seems that they are still backed up. My warehouse is only showing that they have one in stock then after that its not showing any in the entire country.
I have a wiring question for this OEM maplight.
Can you have it so that when the doors are open, both maplights come on? And then they shut off when they close?
And can they also work manually?
This would require a connector to allow this. It would need 2 positive terminals and 1 negative.
