the only one i miss was my race-lite that i modified into a modern SS.

i just got sick of the 1'' head tubes, the horizontal dropouts that only accepted bolt on wheels and couldn't be used with modern QR's, and the lack of disc mounts on the frame (i ran juicy's in the front and single digit 7's in the back).

true bastardization.

I used to mtnbike race with this guy from Vermont who had a carbon frame. Without warning the headtube blew up and he ended up with a broken shoulder and a few less teeth. It wasn't pretty. Carbon is fine for the road but pretty unpredictable in the woods.
