Re: Scuba

PADI & NAUI certified Rescue Diver. However it's been a while and I'm sure the wet suit doesn't fit anymore.

Re: Scuba

Im open and Rescue diver certified with NAUI out of South Padre Island. During the summers i work as a Rescue Diver in a 15 foot deep salt water tank in a Water park. Some may have been to it. Its called SEA TREK and its inside the SCHLITTERBAHN BEACH WATERPARK in South Padre Island Texas. We take up to 5 people at a time underwater in helmets that give you 3x the air you need above water and 2 of us "safety divers" take you on a tour of the aquarium showing you all the species of fish, sting rays, take pictures and all that stuff. Its a great job i love it.

We've got guitar rays, sting rays, red snapper, catfish, tarpon, trout, pufferfish, an octopus, hermit craps ( we use as fish food sometimes) Sheepshead, angelfish, and alot more that we add everyweek. If anyone ever plans a trip to South Padre During the Summer ( open only during summer.. From mid May til late August) i would recommend this to any family. Its a great way to get your kids (ages 7 and up) interested in sea life and diving, and its a great way to see some fish upclose and handle stingrays if you dont want to bother going offshore for an entire day.

Re: Scuba

Been diving since 1995. About 150 dives since the - about 15 per year - mostly in the Carribean. Been to Roatan 5 times, BVI's 3x, Florida (cenotes/springs), Cayman 3x, and the Grenadines.

Dreaming of that extended trip to Palau, Pelileau, and Truk.

Easy to get to the Carribean from TX. 2 hours to Roatan direct- can't beat that.

Re: Scuba

Hi Ponch: Yes, my Son and Dive quite a bit. Last August we loaded the FJ with out two Hobie Sport Kayaks and dive gear and headed for the Keys. Had a great time and the FJ is prefect for such a road trip.
