old thread thought I would raise it from the deep

about 5000 dives here
Local Haole boy from Maui I was a instructor for some 15 years mostly on Maui & Lanai so for those who know Cathedrals that was my backyard so used to have to dive that 6 days a week to rub it in heheehheeh
I also worked on Utila for a year teaching and did some private work in Chuuk

but recently moved the mainland ! I am homesick for the islands

biggest best memorable dive was something nobody gets to do and that was to dive and take photos on the USS Arizona

Right on Honu,

I was a diver in the navy and stationed on Hickam Air Base at the mobile diving barge, you are right that is so cool to dive arizona...we would get to dive that once a year.

Re: Scuba

Been snorkeling for years, doing the classes online and looking to do the dives when I head back down to Aruba in the fall. I can't wait to dive the Antilla.

Re: Scuba

Padi Dive Master-Master Diver. Got certified with my better-half on Maui 14 years ago. Dove a handful of times in Key West and U.A.E. Then we moved to Guam in 2004 and dove 2-4 times a week for 2 years. Dove Palau, Australia, Kauai, Big Island. We moved to Oahu last year to avoid all that darn jet-lag.

Re: Scuba

There was another thread with a bunch of divers but I can't seem to find it.

Anyway - another PADI Divemaster, Wreck, Nitrox, Mixed gas, rebreather, altitude, ice, LOVE to spear fish, the list goes on..... First took the plunge in '82 last time I tallied my logs I had over 3000 hours under water. Yes I have gills just look at my avatar

Couldn't wait for fall, just got back and got certified while I was down there. Missed a whale shark by picking the wrong dive.
