Yamaha YZ 465

Re: Motorcyclists! post up here===>

Just got my first motorcycle last summer after wanting one forever. Didn't get to ride it much but that will change this summer. Bike is a 96' Honda Magna Deluxe, purple and white.

Cool bike I absolutely love but it still scares the crap out of me. Trying to learn to ride the right way and stay safe, can't wait to get out and get some miles under my 2 wheels.

Re: Motorcyclists! post up here===>

I had a perfect condition '94 1100 Black Shadow. Loaned it to a close friend with the agreement that he could ride it for a while, then sell it. He could keep 10% for his trouble on the sale. It was worth maybe $4k. He rode off into the sunset. Heard he has been all over the country on it.

All my life I have heard that 'no good deed goes unpunished.' Unfortunately, that is often true. When I have gone out of my way to help people I get pissed on every time. No hard feelings though; life is just too short.

Re: Motorcyclists! post up here===>

I did a cross country from CA to NY and back, on a Harley Fat Boy. I was thinking about attempting it on a Yamaha R-1, but it cooked my right heel to a large blister on a trip from CA to St. George Utah and back in one day.
I'm glad I did it though, as my bones are getting old. The FJ suits us older dudes just fine. Offers excitement on a long trip, looking for offroad spots, but keeping me from going deaf, and looking like death from wind fatigue.

I still have both bikes. Hmm, got to get that oil changed in the R1!

I have a Honda XR400. It is a sweet machine with a dual sport kit.
It's fun cruising highways, and roosting on fire roads. I waited six months to get my FJ. I can't wait to finally trailer it out to some real trails and get some air time!!

Re: Motorcyclists! post up here===>

Since MTB posted a list I figured I should stir the old grey-matter and see if I could do the same:

1987 Yamaha SRX250
1988 Yamaha FZR400
1991 Yamaha TZ250
1967 Triumph Daytona 500 (Chopped w/ hardtail and girder front end)
1967 Honda 305 Dream (restored to stock)
1991 H-D Springer Softail
1993 Honda Pacific Coast
1995 Honda CBR600 F3
1997 Aprilia RS250 (only bike I still own)

Presently own - 2006 BMW R1200 Adventure
2003 Honda ST1300 Sport Tourer

This is my first BMW and is absolutely one of the best motorcycles I have ever owned. Interestingly its 1200cc but rolls out 100hp. A great round the world bike.

The ST is actually the wifes bike. We both ride approx 10,000 miles per year on bikes.

Cheers!
