Angry Re: Supreme Court to Rule on Gun Ownership

Funny , when the LA riots happened all the anti-gun people came to my house (I was locked loaded)!

Not so Funny!!! I have been raised around guns my whole life, learned as a kid proper gun etiquette , never had a shooting accident , I have a 100% spotless criminal record, I served in the Army and Im the one they want to disarm?????

Firearms bans NEVER work. Not once. Not anywhere.

It's a liberal's delusional wet dream that disarming the honest will somehow convince the dishonest to comply. And that mankind will ever be able to join hand and sing kum-bay-ah together.

Experience in America has shown that an armed society is a polite society. Would that it were not so, but that's the way it is.
When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns!

Obviously you're not a parent. I am. And I'll take any advantage I can get to
protect my kids, my spouse, my home.
Read what I wrote again, ADMIRAL BEOTCH.

A firearm isn't the only weapon available to injure or kill. Restricting firearms doesn't mean that society suddenly turns non-violent.

Within arm's reach, a pen or bar of soap is actually more effective than a handgun. So is a folded newspaper or the side of a hand. My point is that the decision to ban any category of firearm is generally pointless and it has no historical impact on society other than disarming the law-abiding. Of the 100+ dead in DC, how many were killed by people who lawfully carried firearms? I'm guessing very few if any.

However, I can carry concealed in 50 States and have carried concealed legally outside the US as work required/requires. On my trip to Mongolia upcoming in February (mentioned in another thread) the first thing that will happen upon me deplaning in Ulaanbaatar is that I'll be handed an AK-105 (latest in the Kalashnikov family of small arms) for walking around, and a Serdyukov SPS/ SR-1 " Gyurza" handgun, with spare clips that I'll load myself. Russian/Soviet manufacture is not my preference but I'm completely familiar with the line of weapons. If a Mongolian came here, even a trained and "certified" Mongolian, he wouldn't be accorded reciprocal treatment. They will do that for me because they will try to be polite. And they understand that the world is not a kind and gentle place. However, your chances of getting killed in DC where firearms are strictly controlled is much greater than it is in Ulaanbaatar.

We're on the same page bro... I was careful to say "take any advantage" for a reason.. it's just one of many means to an end.

In this day and age, exposing a firearm on your side would just get you a bullet in the back of the head first so you dont thwart their crime.

Best if it's concealed so nobody knows... that is the best way to ensure a polite society... not by the show of force, but by the lack of knowledge of who's going to pop you from what angle if you do decide to be rude.
Good point for "this day and age" to be sure. I have the right to open carry in my state but it is socially taboo. If I choose to open carry and become a target to be shot in the back of the head, The killer assumes no others are armed. It is a gamble he takes based on averages and what he sees and knows of modern society. So I'll agree to disagree when I speak of my utopia, and most others are also open carrying, showing the would be killer his odds are probably not good at shooting everyone in the back of the head before being gunned down himself. I think most people are inherenlty good and want to be treated with respect. Seeing other armed citizens gives me comfort, not panic.

Re: Supreme Court to Rule on Gun Ownership

When asked if they would attempt to rob, rape or murder ,convicted felons in prison stated in interviews that if they thought someone was armed that they would stay clear of that person.

I'm sure the criminals will be waiting in anticipation, to see if their income producing activities will become less dangerous.

Unarmed Public = Lambs for the Slaughter! If they think the ban works, they have obviously not watched/read the local news, 160+ is not my idea of success.

I'm a proud NRA Life Member. If you support the right to own and carry arms I urge you to join. There are those in this country that are doing everything in their power to strip us of our rights. If we don't stand up and defend ourselves our children will not have the freedom that we have today.
