If they Aimed to Kill it and Serve it up for the
next six months on barbi' for dinner, it would
be fine in my mind, but just to do it so you
can say "I killed it, Yippi ! I'm Kool..." is a BS
thing to do...

To me it seems like he was going for the kill thats why he waited so long for it to finely turn a little to the side so he could get a clear shot. but I am not a hunter and can't say for sure.
Were did the moose get it?
