Just remember that many of us were 19 seconds away from a losing pick.

Re: NFL Football Pool Week 14 Trash Talk Thread

I'm going to throw you guys a link. Save it and use it the rest of this year and next year if you play. This is a great guide for picking these games straight up. I use this site every week to handicap games. Between this site and the espn expert picks, you should do real well and be up near the top. The trick to this type of pool is to not pick teams because you like them, use the probability of the team winning. Injuries are normally factored in, but watch or read the injury reports, they are important. Most weeks there are 1 to 3 "big" upsets, the hard part is avoiding the underdog spoiling 1 or 2 of your picks. Avoid the games with close to a 50/50 probability unless you have a strong gut feeling. Stick with the favorites, if you "feel" an upset in a "big" game, do not choose the 'dog, avoid that game in your picks. The ones that avoid the upsets, usually win these pools. I'm posting this to help those of you who want or need a little help. Use it or not, I'm just trying to help. I really like this pool format because you can be a huge football fan or a casual fan, spend maybe 10 minutes a week "studying" and do pretty well. I hope you all are having as much fun as I am doing this. Free Office Pool Picks and advice from TwoMinuteWarning.com
