MTB'ers, I need some help

I am looking for the following part for my mountain bike. I have tried all the local bike shops with no luck. So here is what I am looking for.

Stem
130mm or 150mm
0 or 5 deg rise
quil style ( not Ahead set style)

Here is the kicker..........needs to fit a 1 1/4" steerer tube.

Thanks for your help.

This site (www.bikeparts.com)is probably the most extensive I know of. This link is to the "stem" page and you should be able to find what you are looking for there.

Good luck...

No luck. Those are all the wrong style. I need a stem that fits into the steerer tube not overtop of.

Good site though.

Re: MTB'ers, I need some help

Didn't see anything with a quil other than their quil to threadless adapters.

Nothing in 1 1/4" though. Did send them an e-mail to see if they have anything in 1 1/4" lying in an old bin that I could buy.

I'd better load up on spares for my anituqe if I want to keep riding it.
From the look of things it's almost time to put it in a museum and get somthing a little more up to date.

Re: MTB'ers, I need some help

What exactly are you riding?

If you have 1 and 1/4 steer tube what is stoping you from using a ahead system? Just preference?

I have several Marin's that are in pretty good shape if the situation does not work it's self out.

MTBcoach, you going to the summit?
