And may I be the first in this thread to read the eulogy for the 2008-2009 team. "While talented, they were weak in spirit. Too timid to fight, they succumbed to a lesser team in skill, but much greater in heart."*
*at time of writing it's not clear if this team is the Rockets, Nuggets, or Cavs - but eulogy is unchanged either way.
So much for the "we've learnt our lesson being too soft to the Celts last year." They'd lose to the Celts again if that slime manages to ooze past the Magic or Cavs.
they make it hard to root for a team that doesnt even try
Yeah, at this point I'm cheering for Artest and that fast little point guard dude who weighs like 95lbs. And Battier smothering Kobe.
Seriously, any dude who tells stories about playing at a community someplace where some random other dudes got playing so hard one of them killed the other with a table leg. That's a story Ron. Lakers should've traded for that dude to beat some man into the team!
So what do we predict for the Nuggets/Lakers series?
Here's mine:
Lakers lose one of the first two at home (either still enjoying Rockets game 7 and lose game 1, or win game 1 and then figure, 'hey, we can sleep walk through these Nuggets' and then lose game 2). Series goes to 7 games and the Lakers just barely win.
Scenario 2 is same as above, but Lakers can't get any at Denver and are out in 6.
