Ricky Bobby.. That flick added a new term to the language of the south "Going Ricky Bobby".. As in "watch this, I'm going Ricky Bobby" Ron

Edit.. Even my wife liked that filck and she's not one to look kindly on such antics (or language)

Do you ever sit back and wonder just how much stuff on that car is actually "Toyota"?
The emblem on the front and back!

But as others have pointed out, the same is said for the big 3.

All about the tuning and design from the respected teams. And the fact that Toyota actually went out and got good drivers.

Re: First cup series win

Yeah it was sweet. Toyota will win more races than any other brand this year!

Well, it took Rowdy to do it, but Toyota now has a win. I expect many more this season. Ron
I love my FJ but being from the heart of NASCAR (NC/SC), I am still a purist and prefer the domestic brands in racing.

Re: First cup series win

NASCAR drivers are a fickle and often elite bunch Kyle is of course "Kyle", but he's driving the wheels off the cars and trucks this year. I've got to give him credit; his team dumped him and he takes off and starts winning races lioke there's no tomorrow! Most all the drivers have quirks that often put them in a bad light.

Yes.. Toyota does now have drivers that will win races. After all, they are becoming the "new American" auto company.

Re: First cup series win

I think the thing with Kyle is he's 22 years old. I have two son's that are 20 and 23 and I don't think either of them are ready for the Lime light yet.

By the way Kokopelli I see you are in Tenn. are you headed to Bristol this weekend?

I think that's it as well.. Bristol is only 115 miles away and I'd love to go, but not this time. I'll be at the beach in NC for a week WHOO HOO.. But I'll be watching from the deck of the beach house.. Ron

The "Stock" in Stock Car has been a misnomer since I can remember.
