me too - GT Karakoram baby!
My first bike was a ParkPre. Rigid fork and all. Rode in my first race on that one. Bikes have come a long way since then.

Almost embarrassed to tell you cats what I ride (Gary Fisher Tass) but it has proved itself more durable and quicker than many more expensive bikes my friends have. It's not the pretty bike but sure takes a trail like a dog.
Re: Lets see some of your Mountain Bike. MTB PORN.
mine is an oldie but still in outstanding shape....thinking i will just upgrade front forks and wheels and keep her longer...
Trek 8000, Mavic rims, Motoraptor tires, antisuck chain thing, shimano group......want some new handlebars (currently true temper) and Marzocchi front shocks.
yeah she aint fancy or pretty...but at the time she was quite a good bike...1992 I believe...LOL. Also she has to carry my big ass at 6'3" and 220+ give or take 10 lbs....and nary a bend or crack or other problem. Not into all the ti gear as I figure if I want to shave 5 pounds off my bike it is easier and cheaper to just lose 5 lbs in my big ass....LOL
