Philly Fans Check in Here!

Just wanted to post how awesome it is to have the Phillies in the big show again! Make a little history having consecutive wins if possible. Hasn't been done since the early 70's I think.

Hmmmmm, they seemed to be a little low on the power last night. Almost a shut out if it weren't for that bad throw. Go Phillies!

The yanks really didn't look good last night, but then again in the end neither did the phils. I bet JRol is getting alot of practice throwing to 1st base today.

Re: Philly Fans Check in Here!

I'm not a big Philly fan, but I am a big Cliff Lee fan since he's from Arkansas. Plus I'm a fan of anyone playing the Yankees. So for the next week to 10 days I'm a big Philly fan.

Re: Philly Fans Check in Here!

Yankees looked great in game 2.

God damn umpiring is beyond terrible.... That play that was called a DP for Philly should have been all runners safe... that was plain as freakin' day!!! HOW can they blow that??? How??

It clearly bounced off the ground and into Ryan Howard's mitt. I saw it the very first time live and every replay confirmed it.

I was stunned--- Yankees would have blown the game wide open without that horrendously bad call.

Thank God it did not change the final outcome.

Dude, last year was a RADICALLY different team...

No Posada (hurt), no Texeira, no CC, no AJ, Cano had a very off year, no Phil Hughes, no David Robertson, much weaker bench....

If you follow baseball, you'd know that the entire complexion of a team can vary greatly from year to year.

Look, I said the Phillies are good and I sincerely meant it. However, they play in a much weaker league, a much-MUCH weaker division and won 10 less games than the Yankees.

Don't take this the wrong way and throw a hissy fit, but I don't think Philly would beat the Angels, Red Sox or maybe even the Twins.... they certainly won't be the Yankees.

Cliff Lee was absolutely brilliant in Game 1 but he will likely only get 1 more start.
