MPAC Installation (picts)

The Springtail MPAC with MOLLE gear arrived today (11/2) while I was getting my rig ready for the Kokopelli Trail run this weekend. So I set everything else I was doing aside and mounted it.

I should have photos for each phase of the mount up, but it was quite easy. You DO need a dremmel or some sand paper to smooth out mold ridges so that a couple of the washers seat correctly. Otherwise from box opening to complete mount took me about 1.5 hours.

MPAC mounted and MOLLE gear strapped in.

Hide-away bag in that little space where the subwoofer would go if I had one.

A few more items added. (Gerber shovel and extra MOLLE pouches)

The weight limit is 40 lbs and even with the extra pouches, I'm not close to that weight. Most of what I have there is my medical supplies (overflow), trail head deflators, chemlights, flash light and batteries, binoculars, etc.

Thanks Doc!

Very nice Larry. I am liking those more each time I see them posted.

Those are pretty slick. When fully expanded, how far inside do they protrude?

You have to know somebody...

And yeah, they're pretty cool! With the additional bags I strapped on, they push in about 6 inches or so. Not far at all. It would be dead space for me since I cinch strap my pellican cases down to the hard points and it leaves air space.

Re: MPAC Installation (picts)

Mine came in today!
I already put the smaller one for the front doors in.

I have two small Boeing first aid kits, and they slipped right inside these cases.
One can never have enough first aid kits in the rig
