I am not the only driver of my 4Runner so I have a lifehammer for my family if they should ever need it. It is super cheap and they don't always carry knives, surefires or center punches.
a center punch can be secured with a velcro strap. that was my point. no need to be a smart ass.

That is just a knife and sheath and shipping is higher plus CA Sales Tax

1 Gerber Military Tactical LMF II - A.S.E.K. Knife 59.99

Subtotal: 59.99
Shipping: 8.99*
Tax: 4.95
Total: 73.93

The details usually add up as this is the same as what I am paying for the survival package.

Your reaction is puzzling and so sorry if you read some emotional crap into my post. A center punch does not cut seat belts so now I have to velcro in two tools??? Your approach is not applicable. Read on.

My wife does not carry knives and flashlights or center punches. She is not technical nor fascinated by tools, knives, guns, flashlights and other toys that you and I love. Putting a "lifehammer" in the car to assure her safety is cheap insurance and it is easy for her to understand and use.

If that is being "smart ass" than I am sorry you jumped to that conclusion.

Can you share your experience with the knife? Observations, complaints, praise, etc. Thanks!
It works quite well, you dont even need to snap the knife in due to the retention built into the sheath. You can beat the hell out of it and it still works fine. In an emergency two weeks ago it worked out great for me, cuts humans a little too easily...........three stitches and I was good to go

I will take some pics tonight........not of my hand but how the knife is set up!

You found a good one! Maybe I'll put the lifehammer in someone else's stocking after I buy one of those tools....

It will also sell well to vendors who can use it to remove my wallet when I order more toys!
