M-PAC FJ Side Rack Installation Instructions

FJ M-PAC Side Rack installation Instructions

1) Using a 10mm socket, remove the 2 “grocery” hooks from the driver side cargo area.

2) Replace the “grocery” hooks with the Billet Mounts, they will mount with the 45mm stainless bolts. Use the supplied Allen wrench to tighten bolt. The “M-PAC” lettering should be upright (see photo).

3) Hold the rack up to the mounts and secure using the short 6mm bolts with a washer attached to each. Tighten Allen heads after you adjusted the rack to your desired position.

(Note: If you are only going to place light items on the rack, you do not need to go any further in the instructions. If you are going to mount heavier items, such as a Powertank or fire extinguisher…please read further).

4) After you have adjusted the rack to the desired position, mark the holes in the base of the rack and remove rack. Drill two holes in the areas marked using a 15/64 drill bit.

5) Put the M-PAC rack back on and loosely secure to the billet mounts.

6) Place the 6mm button head bolts through the holes in the base of the rack/plastic wheel well. Place fender washer and locking nut on bolt and tighten using a 10mm socket and supplied Allen wrench.

Enjoy your new Springtail M-PAC Side Rack!

Re: M-PAC FJ Side Rack Installation Instructions

woohoo!!!! how did I miss that these were available?

I'd love to get one to compliment my other rack on the back, but we're moving in 10 days to Alaska and don't think I'd get this in time before the move

thanks for posting the how-to.... gives me something to look forward to
