2013 Bluetooth Phone Volume

I just picked up a Black 2013 4x4 last Friday. Does anyone know how to turn up the volume of a phone call through the Bluetooth hands-free interface? Unlike our two Prius's, just turning up the volume control on the audio/radio system does not affect the level of the phone call. The manual says something about automatically increasing the phone volume above 50 mph...but I can't hear the called party sitting STILL.

Did you try the volume on your phone? The stereo knob will have no affect on your phones volume setting.

If you are not getting any volume at all, you might have it setup as a Bluetooth music player instead of a phone.

Yes, the iPhone volume is wide open. No change to the FJ's speaker volume when adjusting the phone volume buttons.

Re: 2013 Bluetooth Phone Volume

I have the same, but opposite problem in my 2012. Mine is SUPER loud and I can't adjust it. Probably because it's routed through the speaker which is running through an amp (aftermarket of course). You should still be able to control the volume.

Oh, and playing with the phone's volume has no effect, either.

Mine will only adjust with the volume control on the steering wheel, try that...

Steering wheel. Radio and phone have no effect.

Mine is the same way, and also make sure when you set up the phone it is internal audio. That way it will play music and calls simply.

Re: 2013 Bluetooth Phone Volume

You can also adjust in the bluetooth phone settings mode - see manual. To access this mode the vehicle needs to be parked.
