2013 Microphone in rear view mirror

I want to use the Toyota microphone in my rear view mirror for my Kenwood 9990HD H/U
I know I can just add and external one, but the sound quality of the Toyota one is really good. I thought I would put it out here for some of you guys that specialize in sound system installs to see if someone can figure out a way to do it. It seems I need to splice some wires into a microphone jack to get it done.

Pretty sure it's been done on the 11s and 12s but not sure if that will crossover since the 13s are supposed to have the extra home link stuff (or was that a rumor?)

Re: 2013 Microphone in rear view mirror

Nice find, thank you.

I did search but the key words were wrong. I guess I just need to know which wire goes to the center of the jack. It looks like radio shack will be visited today, It will be nice to get the factory mic back, it's much better than the aftermarket stuff. Hopefully it isn't the head unit causing the quality problem .
