nice job do you think a string on the end of the wire while pulled thru would help to reinstall the wire? with the string pulled out so to let you move the cover . then to guide the wire back into place after. like a fish in elec. wire pulling.
Good thought, that might save some time getting the wire back in.

A BIG thanks from me on this one FJammin. I will definately be ordering these. Living in Edmonton, where the temps drop to absurd levels on occassion the heated seats are great to have. The wife has them in the VW Beetle and they are real handy.

I have already printed your instructions. Just need to verfy with the dealer that I won't screw my warranty by installing them and I will order them.

Thanks again for taking the time to post this.....
You're welcome, and good luck. I'm from BC, and I grew up never knowing the benefits of heat on the seats. I've had many a cold morning in my old '71 VW bus with icy seats and no heater period. Life is good now...

Re: Heated Seats: Full Intall with Pics

You won't regret it. I leave mine on low all times, and switch to high if I'm getting into a frozen seat in the morning/late at night. feels sooooo good.

On the side of the seats near the door in the plastic molding. Installer said that many factory heat buttons are located there. It's easy to get to and out of the way.

Red power wire was attached to a spade and put into the Lefthand side fuse box, in an acc-powered location (5th from right, center row). It is already fused.
Hey FJammin, Can you please post a good pic of the fuse box of where you plugged into. I'm installing both driver and passenger heaters into the seats and just wanted to see if I have to up the amps. One seat is 7.5 amps. Thanks Buddy in advanced! and BTW...Great write up!

Re: Heated Seats: Full Intall with Pics

There are several places you can just plug right into. This is one. The spot on the middle row right above it, in between the two blue fuses, is one that is on only when the keys are in the ignition, which is important.

Re: Heated Seats: Full Intall with Pics

just finished drivers heated seat install.

thanx to fjammin for paving my way.

his directions were clear enough to complete within 1.5 hours. attached are pix of the lighted switch. you will see next to that the switch for the heated mirror . thanx to swissarmysuv for figuring out the wires into( in thru ) the door issue i had.

i made a pigtail and soldered to a fuse ( ground off the plastic corner to expose metal ) for the power source.

also my sirius install using the front cup holder as a stand

new england is finally getting cold so i can turn on my mods!!!
