Does anyone know off hand if the switches in the Rostra kit light up or tilt like a rocker?
There's a high/low, so I would hope the switch lights up or somehow indicates what mode it is in. It would be nice if those white bars are lights.
And these Tacoma switches look like the stock FJ switches? They just need a little cutting?
I'm probably going to order this kit next week and install under my Wet Okole seat covers.
I'm guessing the switch is press once for high, press 2nd time for low, 3rd time for off. They should lite up, they are Toyota Switches. Just call or email Rostra and I'm sure you'll get an answer.
My concern is about the ability of your Wet Okole neoprene seatcovers, my experience with neoprene is that is doesn't transfer heat well.
I edited an earlier post but just incase,. someone asked in an earlier post if anyone has mounted the switches somewhere other than on the silver trim pieces on either side of the dash. I installed my switches on the bottom of the center console, on either side of the temp guage dials. Makes them more of a factory look.

Hey Putts, You can install it when it's really cold like I did. The coldness motivates you to work a lot faster and helps you to appreciate your hard work!

Looks nice, Hmm. I'm torn between using the 4runner switch and putting these in.
Dude, that's a brilliant switch setup. I didn't even clue in that some of the OEM switches are round and similar. Plus, you don't use up a rectangular blank, that can still be used for extra lights or whatever. Do you know the exact diameter of the hole you drilled?

Thanks FJammin, I like the switch setup too. I used a uni-bit and stepped up to 13/16, 1 step past 3/4. I'll have to warn you though, I did have to take a little bit of material from behind the plate on the left side, but not a lot. Just enough to mount the switch.
