Does anyone know off hand if the switches in the Rostra kit light up or tilt like a rocker?

There's a high/low, so I would hope the switch lights up or somehow indicates what mode it is in. It would be nice if those white bars are lights.

And these Tacoma switches look like the stock FJ switches? They just need a little cutting?

I'm probably going to order this kit next week and install under my Wet Okole seat covers.
I have these switches and got them with this kit:

2005 Toyota 4Runner Factory Seat Heaters(driver & passanger sides)

Have not installed yet, ironically because it's too cold. The switches are NOT illuminated and are 3-way rockers (center : off, 1 bar for one pad, two for both.) Heard rumors of an updated iluminated switch a while back, but don't know if that ever came to pass.

Finally had some sun two Sundays ago (ironic, eh?). 6 hours worth let me do the A-Trac/RR Diff hack, swapped in a factory fog light switch for the ARB/IPF foglights, wired up a solenoid to power a spare fuse block (then realized I didn't have the fuse block, duh...), and ran the loom for the heated seats. I put the switches in the dash console with all the others, ran the control wires through the center console and out to the seats. Then it got dark cold, have had to work every day since... and now it's snowing again! All I have to do is pull the seats and mount the heating pads, then re-seat them and plug in the leads... oh and finish the fuse box wiring so I have switched power...

Can you post a pic of how the switches look? Did you have to trim them?

I'll try to get some pics tomorrow (Wednesday), pending snow accumulation (9-17 inches, 20-30mph winds). And the switches snapped right into place, no trimming!

Re: Heated Seats: Full Intall with Pics

Well, I ordered them off of e-bay. I would imagine they will be here in the next week or two. All the reading I did from the previous post on myheatedseats site and that from the e-bay seller lead me to buy them from e-bay. Saved $30 to $40 in shipping and no UPS handling fee. They look identical than those on myheatedseats site.

I will probably do the same with the round switches and drill holes in the center dash area. Either way it will be nice to get them installed.

Thanks, a perfect match. Looks nice, once I figure out what/if I'm doing ofr seat covers, then these are going in.

I ordered some seat covers from GT and was not impressed (just returned them today), but from the forum I've seen better options. I thought I would shortcut by placing the heating elements between the OEM and seat cover, but decided to bite the bullet and do it right!

I'm thinking of doing wet okole covers, I am waiting for some color swatches to arrive. I can get both fronts for ~$235, I'm also not sure how well their neoprene insulates, wouldn't be any good if they block the heat.
