Two layers in the ceiling and the floor. one layer of most of the rear quarters. Spectrum on the roof and rear cargo area. sprayfoam in the ceiling ribs, and the cubbys inside the quarters. Then a layer of overkill pro on the ceiling and the cargo area.
I am impressed. The bass sounds like bass with no rattling or flexing of the roof anymore. I also read that the spectrum takes about a week to fully cure so it should get better. I still have to do the front doors , and the backdoor was covered in damplifier pro everywhere I could get it. Then I stuffed the door full of R-13 insulation ( R value is irrelevant, it was what was on sale at home depot ) very tight, use a socket extension to help pack it in good. that door feels like a vault door, very solid and very quiet. I did not cover the access holes yet, I am saving what mat I have left for the fronts. If I have have any left or when I order more I will touch up the back door a bit more. I still can hear the exhaust just a little bit, but no where near as loud.
Yes I compared my truck to a Lexus interior, My ex is on her third lexus now, so I know how quiet a car can be and I think this is a worth while improvement, but it is VERY labor intensive.
