Re: Switches-post pics,suppliers,and pricing here

Didnt see anyone post a pic of this here, so I thought I'd share. Had to file a little bit out of the holes in the dash but I think it was well worth it because they fit perfectly and I think they look stock.

Re: Switches-post pics,suppliers,and pricing here

I have the same Taco switches in those slots and two in the center switch panel for ARB fogs and IPF spots. I agree that they look OEM and actually a little better than the push type.

Re: Switches Help?

I have three blank switch locations on my console. Others are labelled Rera Diff, A-Trac, Subwoofer, 400w AC 115v, PArking Alert. I want to hardwire my portable gps to one of these switches. I have not disassembled the dash and console yet but wanted to understand first: Are each of these switches already powered or connected to the fuse box and battery? Are wires then also run to the roof or various other locatiosn of the vehicle? Are they just blank spaces? any help would be great

I searched but couldn't find anything. Anyone just sell or is willing to build the pigtail for the OEM flood light switch? I have the switch but I can't find a place that will sell the female end connector to make a pigtail out of it.

Contura Switches...about $8 at most specialty electronic stores.
I am very familiar with the switches pictured in this response (the very same switches were used on the boat I used to own). And I think they are what I want for the often discussed "DRL on/off application."

However, there's a question I'm hoping to answer:

In an on/off application like the DRL one, how does one get the led to light when the switch is in the OFF position?

In other words, in the DRL application (like the one explained here) I'd like the LED to light when the DRL's are OFF. That way when I am leaving the trail and going back on the road I will be reminded to turn the DRLs back on.

Thoughts anyone?

Thanks in advance,

Can anyone provide me with a wiring schematic for these switches? I just bought one for my lights, but haven't had the time to wire it up yet. I know it has three terminals on the back.

Thanks,

Mike

X2 on the terminal configuration.

Which terminal on the switch itself is ground? Which is power in? And, which is power out?

Anybody know??
